TO OUR FRIENDS OF BELLA LUNA, September 13, 2006 With much thought and difficulty we have decided not to reopen Bella Luna. This has been a difficult time and a very difficult decision. Bella Luna has been our life, our family, our love and our business for 15 years. We have had so many exciting times, have made so many wonderful friendships, have celebrated so many special events with our guests and close friends and have worked so hard to make it a success. The memories will last forever. Along with our guests that have become friends and family, we want to thank our staff. Without them, Bella Luna could not have been possible. They taught us, helped us grow and worked hard to create an atmosphere of family. We will be staying in the city. We are still catering. We own the Foundry, a special event venue in the Warehouse District. It has been our baby and is now becoming our child. Many of you have already been to an event here and have discovered the warm and inviting atmosphere that works perfectly for any special event. We will work hard not only to build the Foundry as “the” special event venue in town but we will work hard to help rebuild the city of New Orleans. We look forward to seeking new opportunities and possibly another restaurant. At the moment though, we are in a grieving process for Bella Luna. It hurts. Thank you, all of you, for your support and commitment to us, Bella Luna and the city. The phone calls and emails over the last year have been wonderful and very comforting. They keep us going.
